“Thank you so much for joining us and giving such a real and relatable speech, I could listen to you all day and I definitely think you should write a book! We had some wonderful feedback about the event which included some lovely comments about your piece. You pitched it perfectly- thank you! Overall, the day went well and I think we hit the right notes and got people thinking and committing to drawing the line on poor behaviours. Thank you so much for joining us, it has been lovely to work with you.”
"We were really satisfied with the robust investigation that Tracy carried out and we would like to thank Tracy for the work that she undertook.”

About Tracy Stephenson

Tracy is a highly experienced former senior police officer with a strong background in Professional Standards and a wealth of investigative experience. As a manager and leader of large teams she has managed many HR matters including resolving grievances and using mediation as a resolution. She is known for her engaging, empathetic and honest approach.

With a strong background in Professional Standards Tracy has a sound understanding of Employment law, Professional Codes of Behaviour and the Nolan principles. She has investigated and overseen complex criminal and employment related investigations.

During her time with TCM she has investigated complex and protracted cases of racial and gender discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment and harassment. She has also conducted appeal hearings reviewing grievance outcomes and determining whether an appeal is upheld. She has worked with a variety of businesses in the private and public sector including health, charity and construction sectors.

Tracy chairs and sits as a lay panel member on several Fitness to Practice panels reviewing evidential documents, policies and individual codes of conduct, listening to verbal evidence then working with the panel to reach a consensual decision on the findings. She has given evidence at Employment Tribunals and internal discipline hearings.
Tracy forged strong relationships with her teams and partners in the police and since her retirement with TCM clients and the teams she works with in her Fitness to Practice Work. She works well in a team but is confident to lead.

Tracy is passionate that investigations should be thorough but swift due to the impact on the mental health of staff and disruption to the organisation when drawn over a long period of time.
