About Emma Schofield

Emma leveraged her extensive HR, Organisational Development (OD), and leadership experience to launch her consultancy and coaching business in 2021. Joining The Investigation Company in 2022, she brings over 20 years of expertise in diverse roles across public and private sectors, including a significant stint in the NHS.

Her career has involved working with hundreds of different professions, enriching her understanding and adaptability across various organisational cultures. Emma’s NHS tenure, spanning acute, mental health, and ambulance services, culminated in a pivotal role as Deputy Director of HR and OD.

Emma’s leadership experience includes heading HR & OD Teams of up to 120 employees in complex environments and conducting numerous complex investigations. She has a proven track record in guiding teams through similar challenges, chairing hearings, appeals, and representing at Employment Tribunals, focusing on resolving multifaceted cases with integrity and efficiency.

Driven by values, Emma is committed to creating positive workplace environments where teams thrive. Her approach, grounded in authenticity and honesty, has been instrumental in transforming workplace cultures. She has worked closely with CEOs and boards to develop values and behaviour frameworks, embedding these into organisational practices to attract and retain talent, and nurture happiness, productivity, and inclusivity.

Recently, she has consulted for SMEs, shaping business strategies and leading people-centred projects for scaling businesses. Holding a Degree and MSc in Strategic Human Resources and Organisational Development, Emma is also a qualified executive coach, continually expanding her knowledge in business, psychology, and self-development.

Outside work, Emma cherishes time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new cultures, and enjoying activities like walking and yoga. She values nourishing meals and enjoys cooking for loved ones.
