Alexander Dunlop is a lawyer, mediator and ADR expert, specialising in international dispute resolution. Alex has been mediating and managing conflict for ten years and has dealt with a wide variety of disputes and subject areas including, multi-million pound disputes and complex multi-party negotiations. Alex has designed and developed bespoke ADR and conflict resolution frameworks for large organisations catering  for both internal and external stakeholders. Alex brings professionalism, expertise and integrity to all professional instructions.

Alex has extensive expertise in commercial and workplace investigations and spent a number of years as a Senior Investigation Officer within the field of professional regulation, regulatory law and financial conduct. Investigations have included; fraud, money laundering, tax disputes, director and partnership disputes. breach of professional regulation or conduct, bullying, sexual harassment, racism, bias and unconscious bias and whistle blowing. Alex brings his unique ADR skills and experience to investigations enabling difficult conversations to happen with safety and ease and producing comprehensive investigation reports that stand up to the highest levels of scrutiny. Recent investigations have included large national charities, top ten Universities and large global accountancy firms.

Alex is an experienced mediator and has a proven track record of successfully mediating disputes across a wide and comprehensive section of industry and sectors Alex has mediated over 500 disputes. Areas of experience include; civil and commercial, financial, supply chain, consumer, workplace, community, family, employment and prison mediation. Alex is also a trustee of London’s largest community mediation charity and sits on the management board of another international mediation charity. Alex has experience in mediating the most complex matters including multi-party, high value and high profile disputes. Recent clients have included global pharmaceutical companies, banks, financial institutions, national newspapers, the NHS and top ten Universities.

Alex also has experience as a neutral in early neutral evaluation, expert determination and arbitrations and holds membership status of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators  (CIArb) enabling Alex to provide a comprehensive dispute resolution service. Alex is published in the field of disputes resolution and has co-authored book chapters (ADR in the regulatory sphere) and journal reports. Alex has also designed and delivered significant professional and CPD training at all levels, including executives, directors and CEOs. Alex has designed and delivered ADR and mediation training and has spoken at a number of international conferences.
