About Chris Howarth

Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the investigation of serious and complex cases across a broad range of areas. He specialises in the interviewing of vulnerable witness and victims and has provided training on numerous occasions to a variety of organisations in the complex area of work.

Chris has been a Consultant Partner with The Investigation Company by The TCM Group since 2019. In that time, he has conducted a wide range of complex investigations along with providing bespoke investigation skills training to a variety of organisations across the UK and internationally – he has previously been deployed to Kenya, The Cayman Islands and Chile, to name a few.

The investigations that Chris has conducted have been wide, ranging from complaints raised through the Care Quality Commission and work across the Higher Education arena to complex cases within a variety of organisations within the NHS. Chris has also worked on international cases and clients such as NATO organisations and European Aviation businesses conducting complex policy decision reviews and historical allegations of bullying and harassment.

Chris’ experience has been built on 26 years of Policing service and this is embedded in his thorough, professional and accountable approach to all of his investigation and training work. He has received both Judge and Chief Officer commendations for his contribution to the Investigation of Organized Crime Groups within the Northwest of the Country.

Away from work, Chris enjoys skiing and supporting his son’s rugby team along with his wife Vicky.
